Test Shoot Essentials: Beyond the Obvious
Forget the 'pack everything' mentality. A successful test shoot isn't about volume; it's about strategic preparation. This is what actually moves the needle for agency eyes.

The Agency-Approved Underwear Set
Always bring a seamless, nude-colored bra and underwear set. No lace, no patterns, no visible lines. This forms a clean base for any wardrobe changes and ensures nothing distracts from the clothes or your form.
Have a backup set. Spills happen.
Your Go-To Agency Heels
A clean, comfortable pair of simple black heels (3-4 inch, pointed or almond toe). They should be polished, scuff-free, and worn-in enough to move in. This isn't for fashion, it's for elongation and posture.
Break them in. Blisters kill a shoot's energy.
The Personal Grooming Kit
A small bag with essentials: translucent powder, blotting papers, lip balm, and a hair tie/brush. This isn't to do your full glam, but to manage shine, stray hairs, and keep lips hydrated between setups without relying solely on the MUA.
Always ask the MUA if they need anything from your kit before touching up yourself.
The Unbranded White Tee & Jeans
A well-fitting, clean white crew-neck t-shirt (no logos, no stains) and a classic pair of blue or black denim jeans (minimal distressing, good fit). This is your 'default' look, showcasing your natural form and features without distraction.
Iron the tee. Wrinkles are distracting.
Hydration & Fuel
Water bottle (full) and a small, non-messy snack like a protein bar or a banana. Long shoots demand sustained energy and focus. Don't rely on catering or vending machines. Be self-sufficient.
Avoid anything that causes bloating or leaves residue on your teeth.
