Send Proof Instead of a Coffee Request
Stop asking if you can 'come by the office next Tuesday.' Send three unretouched digital snapshots, your exact measurements, and a short list of three commercial clients you are already booking on your own.
If your email says 'I'd love to pick your brain,' delete that line.
Skip the Open Call Line
At an open call, agents are looking for reasons to say no within four seconds. Instead of standing in a hallway with sixty hopefuls, get introduced by a working hair stylist or a photographer who already bills through the agency.
