Fashion Week Recovery: Sleep, Water and Rest
Fashion week runs on little sleep, and showing up hollow-eyed does not help you. Rest keeps your skin clear under an 85mm prime and your walk steady. These are five ways to get it.

The 10-Minute Dark Room Reset
Between 11 AM call times and 4 PM runway queues, find a windowless dressing corridor and sit in the quiet. Cutting out light and noise resets your nervous system faster than another iced Americano in the backstage humidity.
Carry a silk eye wrap soaked in cold mineral water in a foil zip pouch. It cools your skin quickly.
The Mercato Electrolyte Ritual
A cool autumn breeze off the Hudson hides how much you sweat in your tailoring, but dry skin shows up in flash portraits right away. Skip the after-party Prosecco until Saturday. Drink room-temperature water with a pinch of salt and some citrus.
Dunk your face in a basin of ice water and sparkling water before you leave the apartment. It wakes up tired skin.
The High Line Oxygen Walk
When the runway pace wears you down, walk west toward 10th Avenue and take the High Line just before dusk. Cool air and low evening light bring color back to your cheeks without a cream blush.
Keep your phone in your inner coat pocket on airplane mode until you reach 23rd Street.
The 9 PM Hard Exit Rule
Few deals get made past 11 PM on a Tuesday. Stay forty minutes, drink sparkling water with lime, and go home to sleep. You will look sharp when the strobes hit tomorrow.
Tell the host you have an early call. Most people will not argue.
The Chinatown Herbal Soak
Six shows in four-inch heels on the cobblestones in DUMBO leave your arches sore and your posture compressed. An hour at a low-key bathhouse with hot mugwort and ginger can ease your heels before the weekend presentations.
Keep arnica oil in your tote and rub it into your calves during crosstown traffic jams.
That's the inside look. Save this one for your next shoot.
